Contract Lifts & Crane Hire

Fully managed contract lifts and CPA crane hire across the North East and UK. Every lifting operation is planned and supervised by a qualified Appointed Person in accordance with LOLER 1998 and BS 7121 - including site survey, lift plan, RAMS, personnel and insurance cover for the lift itself.

Contract Lifting

Fully managed lifting operations under LOLER and BS 7121 - crane, lifting equipment, Appointed Person, crane supervisor, operator and slinger/signaller supplied as a single package, with the lift plan, RAMS and insurance included. You get one point of contact and one party accountable for the operation.

Crane Hire

Mobile, all-terrain, crawler and specialist crane hire with CPCS-certified operators and lift supervision. Available on a contract lift basis or as CPA hire where you hold your own Appointed Person. We select the crane to the lift rather than the other way round - capacity, radius, ground bearing pressure and access all assessed at survey.

Machinery Relocation

Heavy plant moves, machinery installation and in-plant relocation planned and delivered end to end. Includes rigging, skating, jacking and crane-assisted placement, plus the disconnection, transit and re-siting sequence for production equipment where downtime has to be kept to a minimum.

Lift Planning

Detailed lift plans, method statements and risk assessments for complex, tandem and engineered lifts. Covers load weight and centre of gravity, crane selection and configuration, ground bearing pressure and outrigger loadings, exclusion zones, rigging arrangement, personnel roles and the lift sequence. Available as a standalone service for clients running their own operations.

Lifting Consultancy & Appointed Person Support

Technical advisory support on lift strategy, contractor selection and lifting assurance - plus a qualified Appointed Person supplied to your project where you need competent lift planning and supervision but hold your own equipment. Our AP qualifications include CPCS A61, CPCS Level 5 Diploma in Controlling and Planning Lifting Operations, and the ECITB Appointed Person (Moving Loads) certification.

Site Lifting Audits

Independent audits of lifting operations, procedures, personnel competence and equipment on live worksites. Covers LOLER thorough examination records, lifting accessory inspection regimes, rigging loft management, lift planning documentation and on-site practice - with a written report and prioritised actions.

Lift Design & Engineered Lifts

Rigging design, lift studies and engineering checks for lifts where standard arrangements don't apply - tandem and multi-crane lifts, tailing operations, spreader beam and lifting frame design, and load path verification for high-value or safety-critical items.

Steel Erection

Crane-assisted erection of structural steelwork — columns, beams, portal frames, mezzanines, walkways and access platforms. We plan and deliver the lifting operation itself, working alongside your steel contractor or as part of a wider construction package, with the lift plan, rigging arrangement and erection sequence developed by a qualified Appointed Person.
